Dr. Joye Norris
Learning by Dialogue Approach
January 16 & 17, 2008
Hilton Garden Inn in Ithaca.
We are very pleased to announce that Dr. Joye Norris will be coming to Ithaca to deliver two half day workshops at our 2008 parent education in-service. Dr. Norris will present her work on the skills and qualities educators need to connect with their audience, including the research on caring in teaching, attitude and enthusiasm, and building trusting relationships in your educational environment. She will also present the seven key facilitation skills that support her “learning by dialogue” approach to adult education, teaching and learning. These workshops are designed to: help educators better teach their course content; deliver programs that are practical and motivate learners; and be a better teacher and trainer, no matter what the content. Dr. Norris has been teaching her Learning by Dialogue approach for more than 10 years, and has a doctorate in Counselor Education from North Carolina State University.
